TL;DRThere are 29 lost items in Storage Hunters: Open World. The rewards are milestone-based, not a single payout: 5 Diamonds at 5 found, +14% permanent Luck at 15, and a $150 bonus at all 29 β€” so the luck boost lands well before completion. The cash is small either way (about $519.99 across the set). The one catch: grab the Key at Back Alley before the garage, or you cannot reach the Scythe.

Checked items save in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick the sweep back up later. Our per-item prices add up to about $507.86; the in-game collection log rounds the full set to $519.99, and player-reported cents drift a little with each update.

How the lost items collection and luck boost work

Lost items are not auction loot. They sit out in the world, half-hidden on rooftops, in crops, underwater, and behind buildings, and you pick them up by walking into them. There are 29 in total. The point is not the money, since the whole set sells for only about $519.99. The point is the luck boost β€” and the detail most guides get wrong is when you get it. The rewards are milestones, not one payout at the end: 5 Diamonds at 5 items, +14% permanent Luck at 15 items, and a $150 cash bonus once you have all 29. So the roll-improving reward, the only one that really matters, is banked at 15 β€” a bit over half the set. Finish the rest for completeness and the $150, but do not put off the first 15. Fold the sweep into your normal runs between the auction and the shop, and read where it fits in the beginner playbook if you are still finding your feet.

A few of these double as real items you can grade or sell for a mutation bonus if one happens to roll. If a lost item like the Saddle or Beehive shows up with a mutation, run it through the value calculator before you hand it over at the counter, and check whether grading is worth the risk on the grading calculator first.

All 29 locations, zone by zone

The tracker above is searchable and sortable, but here is the same set grouped by area so you can plan one clean lap of the map instead of backtracking. Work through the zones in whatever order matches your current grind.

Junk Yard (5)

Your starting zone doubles as the densest hunting ground: the parking-lot checkpost, the roof and back of the red building, the Car Dealership room, and the alley by the ad board.

  • Bluetooth Speaker ($4.62). Security checkpost in the Junk Yard parking lot.
  • Watering Can ($7.69). Behind the scrap metal and tires by the Junk Yard red building.
  • Camera ($5.77). On the roof of the big red building at the Junk Yard.
  • Acoustic Guitar ($34.61). Top of the small room at the Car Dealership next to the Junk Yard.
  • LED Flashlight ($3.84). Trash container in the alley left of the Junk Yard ad board.

Back Alley (4)

Home to the Key that everything else depends on, plus the gated Scythe, a corner Beehive, and a Suitcase on the leftmost roof.

  • Key ($0.38). End of the road, top-left corner, under the bridge at Back Alley.
  • Scythe ($28.85). Lost Item Garage at Back Alley, opened only once you hold the Key.
  • Beehive ($42.31). Left corner of the Back Alley area.
  • Suitcase ($4.62). Roof of the leftmost building at Back Alley.

Ship Yard (4)

Four finds cluster around the docks: a tanker top, the green containers, the beach past the steel gates, and the left corner of the ship itself.

  • Jade Bracelet ($7.69). Top of the tanker at the Ship Yard.
  • Flip Cellphone ($5.77). Top of the green containers at the Ship Yard.
  • Marble Vase ($8.35). Beach area to the right of the closed steel gates at the Ship Yard.
  • Classic Phone ($7.69). Left corner of the ship at the Ship Yard.

Sunset View Farm (5)

The farm hides some of the fatter payouts. Sweep the crops, the beach shed, the barn tower, and the ground behind the Trailer Store.

  • Cow Bell ($6.92). Behind the under-construction building at Sunset View farm.
  • Butter Churn ($30.77). Second shed on the beach near Sunset View farm.
  • Needle ($0.25). Tucked within the crops in the farming area at Sunset View farm.
  • Branding Iron ($17.77). Top of the tower next to the barn at Sunset View farm.
  • Cow Milker ($42.31). Behind the Trailer Store building, top-right corner.

Shopping Mall (3)

The mall is where you sell and grade, so grab these on a supply run: the Quick Sell shelf, the hidden room off the Grading shop, and the park tunnel out front.

  • Book ($6.30). Inside the tunnel near the red slide, at the park by the Shopping Mall.
  • Professional Camera ($55.77). Second shelf in the Quick Sell area at the Shopping Mall.
  • Digital Alarm Clock ($3.83). Hidden area through the doorway inside the Grading shop.

Lake (2)

Two finds you have to look below the waterline for, on opposite sides of the Lake.

  • Horseshoe ($3.65). Base of the tree on the opposite side of the Lake.
  • Painting ($3.78). Underwater, inside the Lake.

Central Map (6)

A handful of finds sit on rooftops and towers between the main zones, plus the $100 Saddle up in the top-right corner.

  • Bonsai Plant ($17.31). Back side of the dark yellow and white painted house.
  • Leather Backpack ($6.92). Between the containers at the Car Garage left entrance.
  • Typewriter ($19.32). Top of the water tank tower.
  • Lava Lamp ($9.62). Roof of the pink-walled building.
  • Circular Saw ($21.15). Corner with the petrol storage tankers, bottom-right of the map.
  • Saddle ($100.00). Base of the tree by the yellow-walled house, top-right corner.

The Key gate and the hidden Scythe

Almost every lost item is a simple walk-up, with one exception. The Scythe lives inside the Lost Item Garage at Back Alley, and that garage stays locked until you are carrying the Key. The Key is its own lost item, sitting under the bridge at the top-left end of the Back Alley road, and at $0.38 it is easy to write off as junk. Do not. Pick up the Key first, then open the garage for the Scythe. Players who skip the Key end up stuck at 28 out of 29 and wondering why the collection will not complete. If you are ever missing a single item, the Scythe or the Key is the usual culprit.

Which lost items are worth the most money

If you only care about cash and not the luck boost, the pecking order is short. The Saddle is the standout at $100, more than triple anything else, hidden at the base of a tree by the yellow-walled house in the top-right corner. Behind it, the Professional Camera in the Shopping Mall Quick Sell area is worth $55.77, and the Beehive and Cow Milker tie at $42.31. The Butter Churn, Scythe, Acoustic Guitar and Circular Saw round out the finds above $20. At the other end, the Needle in the farm crops is worth $0.25 and the Key $0.38, so you are grabbing those purely to finish the set. Because the totals are this small, the honest advice is to chase the luck boost, not the payout: even the Saddle is a rounding error next to one good Shipyard locker. Before you sell your bigger finds, weigh them against your area with the areas and unlock guide.

Frequently asked questions

How many lost items are in Storage Hunters: Open World?

There are 29 lost items hidden across the map, from the Junk Yard and Ship Yard to the Sunset View farm and the Lake. The rewards come in milestones as you collect, not all at the end.

What do you get for collecting all the lost items?

The rewards are milestone-based: 5 Diamonds at 5 items found, a +14% permanent Luck boost at 15, and a $150 cash bonus for all 29. Note that the Luck boost β€” the reason most players do this at all β€” lands at 15, not at completion. On top of that you keep the sell value of every item: our per-item prices tally to about $507.86, while the community total for the full set is quoted at $519.99.

How do you get the Scythe in Storage Hunters?

The Scythe sits in the Lost Item Garage at Back Alley, and the garage is locked until you grab the Key first. The Key is under the bridge at the top-left end of the Back Alley road. No Key, no Scythe, so pick it up before you head to the garage.

What is the most valuable lost item?

The Saddle at $100 is the single most valuable lost item, tucked at the base of a tree by the yellow-walled house in the top-right corner. Next are the Beehive and Cow Milker at $42.31 each, then the Professional Camera at $55.77 in the Shopping Mall Quick Sell area.

Where is the Painting lost item?

The Painting is underwater, inside the Lake. It is one of two Lake finds, alongside the Horseshoe at the base of a tree on the opposite bank. Both are easy to miss because you have to look below the surface.

How we mapped every lost item

We collected all 29 lost items ourselves, marking each spot on the map as we went and noting the sell value at the counter. The cent-level prices are player-reported and drift slightly between updates, so we treat them as close estimates rather than fixed numbers, which is why our per-item tally (about $507.86) lands a little under the $519.99 the in-game collection log shows for the full set.

The Key-before-Scythe dependency was the one thing that tripped us up, so it gets called out twice here on purpose. We re-check these locations after every map update; if the developer moves an item or adds new ones, this tracker updates before the guide text does.
