Anytime, any net worth

Checks save in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick the run back up later. This is a route through the game, not a strict order — several tasks in the same area can be done in any sequence.

Why this order, and where it comes from

The site already tracks each of these facts on its own page — the five area unlock thresholds on Areas & Unlocks, the nine NPC quest chains on Quest NPCs, the shop upgrade order, and the lost item milestones on Lost Items. What none of them do individually is put every system on one timeline, so it is easy to sit on $9,000 net worth for an hour not realizing the Farmyard is one good auction away, or to grind basketballs for three hours before noticing the Cargo Ship only needed $7,000. This page exists to fix that — one ordered pass through everything, instead of five separate guides you have to mentally merge yourself.

The net-worth thresholds are the only hard gates. Quests inside a phase — Billy’s auctions, the basketball grind, the fishing quests — do not block each other, so treat the grouping as “everything available once you hit this net worth,” not a strict to-do order. If a quest is dragging (the basketball hunt in particular — see the basketball quest tracker for why it varies so much), it is fine to push past it on net worth alone and come back later.

Frequently asked questions

Is this checklist the only valid order to play Storage Hunters?

No. It groups tasks by the net-worth gate that unlocks them, which is a real constraint, but within a phase you can do the listed tasks in any order — turn in a quest first, or chase the area unlock first, whichever your current locker luck favors.

Does my progress save if I close the tab?

Yes. Every checkbox saves to your browser’s local storage, so it is still there next time you open this page on the same device and browser. Clearing your browser data or switching devices resets it.

What is the single most important early task?

Learning value-to-weight bidding before your first real auction. Almost every early loss comes from bidding on a locker’s fullness instead of its likely contents, and that habit is expensive to unlearn later.

Why is the Time Capsule on the Farmyard step instead of Shipyard?

Because it unlocks at $100,000 net worth, which players typically cross while still grinding the Farmyard toward the $125,000 Shipyard gate — not after they arrive in the Shipyard.

How this checklist was built

Every threshold and task here already exists, sourced, on another page of this site — the area gates on Areas & Unlocks, the NPC chains on Quest NPCs, the milestone rewards on Lost Items, and the shop upgrade order in the beginner playbook. This page does not add a single new number — it just puts them on one timeline so you are not flipping between five guides mid-session.
