Storage Hunters Luck Calculator

Tick every Luck source you have running and read your total Luck stat bonus live. The calculator splits it into an always-on baseline and the timed boosts you stack right before a big auction.

Last updated 2026-07-14

The short versionFive published sources feed your Luck stat: $5,000 net worth (+50%), 15 lost items (+14%), each friend (+5%), the three Cafe drinks (+50 / +150 / +300%), and the R$39 gamepass that doubles the lot. Net worth is the quiet giant; the drinks and gamepass are timed, so save them for a big auction.

Net worth over $5,000 is adding +50% Luck. It also unlocks the higher Cafe drinks.

How the luck calculator works

Type your net worth, then tick the boosts you have live. The calculator adds up every published Luck-stat percentage and shows the running total at the top of the result panel. Net worth over $5,000 contributes +50% on its own; below that there is no confirmed net-worth bonus, so the tool shows nothing rather than invent a number. Toggle a Cafe drink or the gamepass and the total updates the instant you click, with no page reload and no waiting.

The two lines under the breakdown are the point of the tool. The always-on baseline is what you carry into every auction without spending a thing. The temporary line is the extra you can pile on for ten minutes with drinks and the gamepass. Seeing them apart is what tells you whether it is worth firing off a drink now or saving it for a locker that actually matters.

Every luck source, and its exact number

Storage Hunters: Open World has five Luck sources with a published figure, plus a couple that raise Luck by an amount nobody has measured. The calculator only sums the ones with a real number, so what you see is grounded in published data rather than a guess.

SourceBoostBest for
Net Worth $5,000++50% (permanent)Everyone. It is the biggest free boost and it never expires.
15 lost items found+14% (permanent)Early players. A one-time sweep you never redo.
Friends in server+5% eachAnyone who plays with a group. Not ideal solo.
Cafe Luck Drinks I / II / III+50% / +150% / +300% (10 min)A planned high-value auction. Skip while grinding cheap lockers.
Luck Gamepassx2 the whole stack (10 min)Players who already stack a lot for free. Not ideal at low net worth.

Accessories and Gavel Trophies raise Luck too, but no source publishes how much, so this tool leaves them out of the sum rather than pretend to a number. The safes and trophies page covers what is known about them.

Permanent baseline versus stacking for one auction

Two of the sources stay with you, three do not, and the difference changes how you play. Net worth and the lost-item boost are permanent: once you clear $5,000 and find fifteen lost items you are carrying +64% into every single locker with zero upkeep. That is your baseline, and it is worth building first because it costs you nothing to keep.

The drinks, the friend bonus and the gamepass are the opposite. They run for ten minutes or only while friends are online, so their value is entirely about timing. Downing all three drinks to grind $200 lockers in the Junk Yard wastes them; the same stack lined up before a rare container in the Shipyard is exactly what they are for. The calculator keeps the two totals on separate lines so you can see, at a glance, how much of your peak Luck is real and how much is a ten-minute window you are burning.

What Luck does, and what it does not

A higher Luck stat raises your chance of pulling mutated items, and mutations are where the money is: a Gold roll is 4x an item's value and a Secret is 50x. So stacking Luck before you open a high-value container is a genuine edge. What Luck does not do is guarantee anything. The developer has never published the rate at which a Luck percentage turns into a mutation chance, which is why you will not find a real number for it here or anywhere else.

That gap is deliberate on our part. If you want to model the actual odds of landing a specific mutation over a run of containers, the mutation odds calculator lets you set your own per-roll chance and see how many unboxes you need for a coin-flip or near-certain pull. Price whatever you pull in the value calculator, and if you are still learning the loop, start with the beginner's guide.

Frequently asked questions

How do I increase Luck in Storage Hunters: Open World?

Five published sources raise the Luck stat: reaching $5,000 net worth (+50%), collecting 15 of the 29 lost items (+14%), each friend in your server (+5%), the three Cafe Luck Drinks (+50%, +150% and +300% for 10 minutes each), and the Luck Gamepass, which doubles the whole stack for 10 minutes. This luck calculator sums the ones you have active into a single Luck bonus.

What net worth do I need for the Luck boost?

The net-worth Luck boost begins at $5,000 net worth, where it grants +50%. It keeps rising above $5,000, but the developer has not published the curve past that point, so the calculator holds it at the one confirmed figure. Net worth also gates the drinks: Luck Drink II needs $25,000 and Luck Drink III needs $100,000.

Do Luck Drinks stack in Storage Hunters?

Yes. The three Cafe drinks add on top of each other, and on top of your net worth and lost-item boosts, for +50%, +150% and +300% respectively. Each lasts 10 minutes, so the usual play is to drink them right before a high-value auction rather than while you grind lockers.

Is the Luck Gamepass worth it?

The Luck Gamepass costs R$39 and doubles your Luck stat for 10 minutes. Whether it pays off depends on how much Luck you already stack for free: doubling a 500%-plus late-game stack is a far bigger swing than doubling the +64% permanent baseline you carry early on, so it earns its keep most once your net worth, drinks and lost items are already stacked. Toggle it in the calculator to see the exact difference.

How many lost items do I need for the Luck boost?

The permanent Luck boost lands at 15 of the 29 lost items, not at completion. Sources disagree slightly on the size (the lost-items guide says +14%, the new-player playbook says +15%), so the calculator uses the lower +14% figure. Grab the Key in Back Alley early, since it is the only gated collectible.

Does more Luck guarantee better mutations?

No. Luck raises the chance of pulling a mutated item, but the developer has never published how a Luck percentage converts into mutation odds, so no honest tool can promise a specific mutation from a specific Luck total. Treat the Luck stat as a lever that shifts the odds in your favour, then model the actual roll in the mutation odds calculator.

Where these luck numbers came from

The five percentages this calculator sums are compiled from community guides and cross-checked between them, not measured by us in a stat panel. Every figure matches the numbers published by allthings.how in its luck-stat breakdown and techwiser's luck guide: $5,000 net worth for +50%, +14% at 15 lost items, +5% per friend, the +50 / +150 / +300% Cafe drinks with their $25,000 and $100,000 net-worth gates, and the R$39 gamepass that doubles the stack for ten minutes.

Two honest gaps we will not paper over. The net-worth boost keeps climbing above $5,000, but no source publishes the curve, so we hold it at the one confirmed point. And the lost-item boost is quoted as +14% or +15% depending on the guide, so we use the lower figure and tell you it is disputed. Accessories and Gavel Trophies are left out of the sum entirely, because a Luck total built on invented numbers would be worse than no total at all. If the developer ever publishes real rates, this calculator gets them first.
